Logo Usage Guidelines:
Wayzata Public School logos are the exclusive property of the school district and are protected by copyright and/or trademark laws. All rights are reserved by the school district. Use of the logo does not grant the requesting organization/group any ownership or rights to the logo. The logo may only be used for the specific purpose outlined in the approved request.
Visual Guidelines:
- Minimum Size: The logo must not be reproduced at a width smaller than 1 inch in print or 100 pixels wide online to ensure legibility.
- Clear Space: A clear space equivalent to at least the height of the letter "W" in the logo must be maintained around all sides of the logo, free from any other graphic elements or text.
- Color Palette: The logo must be used in the original color(s) as distributed. Black and white versions are permitted for single-color applications. Do not alter the approved color palette.
Acceptable File Formats: Please use vector (EPS or AI) files for print materials and high-resolution PNG or JPG files for digital use.
- Prohibited Alterations: The logo must not be altered in any way. This includes, but is not limited to: changing colors (unless using approved alternate versions), adding effects such as drop shadows or gradients, rotating, skewing, stretching, or compressing the logo, rearranging its elements, or adding other graphics or text directly onto the logo.
Usage Guidelines:
- The logo may be used on event flyers, informational brochures, and websites directly related to the approved purpose.
- The logo should be placed in a clear and prominent position, ensuring it is easily identifiable.
- Permission to use the logo is granted for a specified period of time.
- The logo may not be altered, distorted, or modified in any way.
The logo may not be used for any commercial purposes or financial gain unless a specific partnership or sponsorship agreement is in place.
- The organization/group agrees not to imply any endorsement or sponsorship by the school district.
- Requests will be reviewed by the Wayzata Public Schools Communications Department.

Restrictions on Use:
- The Wayzata Public Schools logo is generally not permitted for use by the following types of organizations or for the following purposes:
- Religious Organizations: To avoid any perception of endorsement or promotion of specific religious beliefs.
- Political Organizations or Campaigns: To maintain the school district's neutrality in political matters. This includes use by political candidates, parties, or organizations advocating for specific political agendas.
- Commercial Enterprises for Endorsement: Use of the logo to endorse or promote commercial products or services (separate from approved sponsorships or partnerships, which would have their own agreements).
- Organizations Promoting Discrimination or Hate Speech: Any group whose activities or messaging promote discrimination, hate speech, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- For-Profit Activities Unrelated to the School District's Mission: Unless a specific partnership or sponsorship agreement is in place.
- Activities that Conflict with the School District's Mission and Values: Any use that could be perceived as contrary to the educational goals, values, or public image of Wayzata Public Schools.
- Personal Use: The school district logo is generally not permitted for personal use on items such as clothing, accessories, or other personal belongings created for individual use and not for distribution or public display that implies school district endorsement.
Note: This list is not exhaustive, and the school district reserves the right to deny logo usage to any group or for any purpose that it deems inappropriate or not in alignment with the district's best interests.
Terms and Conditions: By submitting this form, the organization/group agrees to abide by all the above terms and conditions. The school district reserves the right to revoke permission for logo use if these terms are violated.
